The Barn at Swale View

Coming later in 2022, various issues have arisen along the way! But we hope we can add some additional residential space at Swale View with the opening of the Barn which is set apart from the main building.

Ideal for single guests or couples who don’t require the full on ‘house‘ experience but still want to have a comfortable place to eat and sleep.

Built over two levels the top living area, accessed from the front of the house, will comprise of a sofa bed, table, TV and all the amenities you need to relax and have a good night’s sleep.

Keep warm with the underfloor heating on both levels and in the living area there is a multi-fuel burner, perfect for super cosy nights in!

Downstairs, accessed either directly via as yet to be defined stairs or from the external door, there will be a kitchen area having a hotplate, microwave oven, dishwasher and sink, separate loo and shower.

We think this space will be useful if you are looking for somewhere to have a short stay, perhaps as part of a walking tour, or for those who need extra room while staying at Swale View cottage. Somewhere to place the grown up children!

Due to its layout we will not be recommending this space for those who have difficulty negotiating narrow and steep stairs. It’s going to be a ladder of some sort or a fairly steep spiral staircase. There are external access doors on both levels but the lower level has three fairly steep steps. So being nimble and fit will definitely help!
