Swaledale Festival

Swaledale Festival 2020

23 May to 6 June

Update - sadly the Swaledale Festival has been cancelled. Not surprising but a real shame. If you can please donate your tickets rather than take a refund as the cancellation leaves the operation stretched financially, but of course refunds will be honoured.

We are all very excited for the forthcoming Swaledale Festival and while it is well worth having a look at the official site here, as well as the mainstream events which we will write up about we are also going to try and identify and list out some accompanying events that may get missed out or overlooked. For example, keep your eyes and taste buds open for the specially brewed beer from the Yorkshire Beer Company which will be available for a couple of weeks in the run up to the festival and at locations during the events period, unless its all been drunk!

So watch out for updates as they will be happening as and when we find things of interest to add in the run up and during the festival period!

Tickets go on general sale from Monday 9th March and Friends priority from 24 February to 8 March.

To start of here are some key quick links to the SwaleFest site for easy reference:

The Swaledale Festival

The Swaledale Festival is an award winning mix of well over 60 music, arts and walking events held across nearly 30 locations throughout Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale. What a backdrop for these events!

There are also art exhibitions, talks, workshops (kite making, singing), Quoits (never played, will give it a go!), brass bands, films and an extensive community and education programme over the two week Festival period . So much to do so definitely check out the events calendar and book your tickets to make sure you can attend the events you want to.

Reduced priced tickets for under 25’s are also usually available by the way.
